NMC Institutions Students Were Advised to Avoid - July 2025

In its 21 July 2025 alert, NMC strictly advised students to avoid seeking admission to four named institutions in Belize and Uzbekistan after communications raised concerns about regulatory compliance, infrastructure, education and clinical training, student treatment, fees and refunds.

Does NMC approve foreign medical universities?

NMC does not publish an approval list for foreign universities in the same way it recognises medical colleges in India. Indian students must verify that the foreign course complies with the FMGL Regulations, 2021 and other applicable requirements.

Does the 2026 notice say that all medical universities in Uzbekistan are banned?

No. The notice names specific institutions and concerns and advises Indian and OCI students to exercise extreme caution and verify FMGL compliance.

What course duration does FMGL require?
